Synopsis: Is it all too good to be true? When Willow runs into her old university crush, Luke, she’s a new woman with a new look – not to mention a little bit more cash after a rather substantial inheritance. Could she be lucky enough to score a fortune and her dream man at the same time? Then Willow meets Cal; a computer geek with a slightly odd sense of humour. They get on like a house on fire — although she soon realises that there is far more to her unassuming new friend than meets the eye … But money doesn’t always bring happiness, and Willow finds herself struggling to know who to trust. Are the new people in her life there because they care – or is there another reason?
My Thoughts: Firstly, let me thank Choc Lit and Netgalley for the chance to read and review this book. It was a nice, easy read, with laugh out loud moments and very likeable - and dislikeable - characters.
The book was written well, and flowed smoothly between each chapter. The way it is written, as though it was a conversation between Willow and the reader, was a great way to do it. The little questions to herself, or to the reader, was a great way to get a chuckle out of me.
We get to meet our leading lady's family, friends, boyfriend(s), and enjoy every minute with her. We get to hate Luke, as well as love Cal, and to make our own decisions about everyone else. I must admit, Luke was an incredible horrible man and deserved his ending in the book. I'm glad it ended the way it did, it was the right time and didn't drag on and on like some recent romance books do.
I will happily read more by this author, already having read a previous book. She really tends to draw you into a book, and leaving you happy with how it all ends. I will also like to read more about Willow and everyone else again in any future books. If there any about them anyway.
My Rating: A well deserved 5/5 out for. It was fun, easy to read, likeable, and just a great book.
